          Hello,<\/p>

          My name is Angela, and I am the Program Director preparing for the Cornerstone Youth Project. As a mother raising a teenager, I constantly reflect on what is needed for not only my own child but also their friends and the youth in our community to grow up in a healthy and supportive environment.<\/p>

          This project has been launched with a grant from the Cornerstone Snohomish County Foundation. Over 12 weeks, we aim to support the emotional, character, physical, and academic development of youth by providing them with trusted mentors, engaging in weekly book discussions, participating in various activities, and attending diverse educational sessions. Our goal is to help lay a lasting foundation for their future.<\/p>

          Program Overview<\/strong><\/p>

          Five dedicated mentors have prepared for this project. On the first day, at 10:30 AM, we will have an orientation to introduce the program and provide an overview of what students can expect over the 12 weeks. Parents are welcome to attend this session.<\/p>

          • The program starts every Saturday at 10:30 AM.<\/li>
          • A light breakfast snack will be provided.<\/li>
          • Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM, allowing groups to enjoy a meal together.<\/li>
          • The day\u2019s schedule will conclude by 1:30 PM.<\/li>
          • If groups wish to extend their activities or discussions, we will communicate with parents in advance to make arrangements.<\/li><\/ul>

            On the first day, each participant will receive:<\/p>

            • The book\u00a07 Habits of Highly Effective Teens<\/em>\u00a0by Sean Covey, which will be used for discussions.<\/li>
            • A Project Booklet, which includes:
              • A course guide<\/li>
              • Mentor introductions and contact information<\/li>
              • A 12-week schedule<\/li>
              • Space for weekly note-taking<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                We kindly ask parents to remind students to bring their booklet and book every week to ensure they can fully participate in discussions and activities.<\/p>

                Meals & Dietary Considerations<\/strong><\/p>

                Lunch will feature a variety of meals that kids generally enjoy, with a different menu each week. If your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in advance.<\/p>

                Continued Mentor Support<\/strong><\/p>

                Our mentors are not only committed to these 12 weeks but also available after the program to provide guidance and career counseling. Please encourage your child to reach out to them whenever they need support.<\/p>
