Jai Jun Byeon, MD

Dr. Byeon earned a medical degree from Seoul National University in 1985 and is a board-certified family physician in the United States, Canada, and South Korea. With more than 40 years of experience in primary care, he has also completed advanced training in palliative care and hospice medicine. Dr. Byeon currently serves at Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a federally qualified community health center dedicated to serving diverse and underserved populations. In 2008, he co-founded Cornerstone Medical Services, further expanding access to care in the community.

Deeply committed to health equity, Dr. Byeon has devoted his career to providing high-quality, compassionate care to medically underserved populations. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Byeon actively volunteers in end-of-life care field. She is glad to be involved with Cornerstone Free clinic providing such essential services to underserved members of our community. especially the dental services. She has been volunteering at Cornerstone for three years as a dentist and for a year now also as a board member. She hopes to encourage next generation to participate in helping others as she learned to help others from works of previous generations’ love for humanity.
